About Dr. Kaduskar
Dr. Ajay V. Kaduskar is a diabetologist and metabolic diseases consultant in Nagpur and the director of the Niramay Diabetes and Heart Care Centre in Dhantoli. He has more than 20 years of experience caring for people with type 2 diabetes, type 1 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, obesity, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol (dyslipidaemia) and heart disease.
His particular interests are preventing the long-term complications of diabetes (eye, kidney, nerve, foot and heart damage) and preventive cardiology, which means finding and treating heart risk before a heart attack or stroke happens. This is why the clinic has its own retinal camera, Echo, ECG and treadmill testing, and laboratory: so that screening is part of routine care, not an extra errand.
